CEU Requirements

A predetermined number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must be completed by AT in order to maintain their certification. There are different types of CEUs with each category varying in the number of required minimum CEUs​

1. Evidence Based Practice (EBP) Category​

   • ATs with 50 CEUs due must complete AT LEAST 10 EBP CEUs​​

   • ATs with 25 CEUs due must complete AT LEAST 5 EBP CEUs

2. Category A- BOC Approved Providers​​​

   • ATs with 50 CEUs due can use AT MAX 40 Category A CEUs​

   • ATs with 25 CEUs due can use AT MAX 20 Category A CEUs

   • No minimum number of CEUs required

3. Category B- professional and scholarly activities

   • ATs with 50 CEUs due can use AT MAX 33 Category B CEUs​

   • ATs with 25 CEUs due can use AT MAX 17 Category B CEUs

   • No minimum number of CEUs required

4. Category C- post certification college/university coursework

   • ATs with 50 CEUs due can use AT MAX 40 Category C CEUs​

   • ATs with 25 CEUs due can use AT MAX 20 Category C CEUs

   • No minimum number of CEUs required

5. Category D- professional program that is sponsored by groups other than BOC Approved Providers

   • ATs with 50 CEUs due can use AT MAX 28 Category D CEUs​

   • ATs with 25 CEUs due can use AT MAX 14 Category D CEUs

   • No minimum number of CEUs required
